You are old if you remember riding in the back of your parents station wagon and sliding all over the full row seat because you obviously were not wearing a seat belt. The only thing that would stop you from sliding is when you would sit on the pleather seat after it sat in the sun and your skin would melt and stick!

I am old. I remember my 5th grade football coach had a station wagon and he took most of the team to games from the school, which was about 5 miles from the stadium. Us bigger guys sat on the open tailgate and let our feet dangle. That coach would have 100 counts of child endangerment today. Thanks for sharing. 3 $DEGEN

I had similar situations all of my childhood. I remember pickup trucks with those old-school terrible cross-weaved folding chairs placed in the bed and we would sit on them to go from place to place. Talk about child endangerment. Thx for the trip down hard-knocks childhood lane! πx100

Itβs fun to think back on the things we considered normal then. Your post brought back some old memories. Spent the day traveling by myself in a car and so many memories came back. Thank you so much. Truly grateful.

The older generations were cut from tough cloth. Happy to reminisce with you. We will do it again sometime!
