am I wrong in observing that hackathons are culturally shifting further into more legacy style systems? maybe close connections to evolution of conferences through time. would be a cool graph.

It’s a long running one, not new And I wouldn’t say Stanford is legacy in the sense that they have hackathons for students for a while if not on campus then in nearby company HQs
