The fact that we talk about parents “sacrificing” their careers for their children, but never say a parent is “sacrificing” their children for their career, says a lot about post modern American society.

No auto pilot. Make an intentional choice each and every day for how we invest our time and energy, and accept the consequences either way. Society is a reflection of the individual, multiplied; but the individual can choose whether or not to be a reflection of society.
