I’d make the argument that every parent treats their child like human beings. Every. Single. Parent. 

The deeper question is, what kind of human being does the parent see in themself!

I am hoping more parents find the path to treating their children like human beings who have their own respective thoughts and ambitions and not treating them as just simply receptacles of the parents thoughts, biases or wills.

The many times I try to prevent my 3.5yo from doing something because she’s 3.5, no matter how many times she surprises me on the upside, when I don’t limit her via age. 

IMO, this holds true throughout all of life.
