ordinal on Bitcoin chain is further proof Bitcoin is here to stay. Same way majority of art around the world gets transacted in dollars. Slow culture and economy will live there. Fast culture and economy will elsewhere. Like fiat vs. visa, Mastercard, etc.

But do ordinals really matter? I suppose it's like asking do NFTs matter. Conflicted if these things are worth any more/less than non BTC non-fungibles or if it's apple to apple.

Is Da’ Vinci art (or others) worth more or less from the time that he created it? And did it matter which currency it was transacted in? For not NFTs are almost synonymous with art, they won’t be in the future.

if a tree falls in the forest and uncovers a block of gold, does it have any value if there are no humans around to desire it? 😄

Austrian econ value theory "If people value something, it has value; if people do not value something, it does not have value". Da'Vinci and Ordinals and other NFTs will only have value in the future if people think they are valuable. Nobody even liked the Mona Lisa until it was stolen and had a good backstory 😄
