5yo asked for the whole family to pray before touching dinner. In a house that has never prayed nor spoken about religion. I let it roll as if it’s completely normal. 6yrs ago I would have said, “baby there is no such thing as a god and religion is for the foolish”, now, “believe it whatever makes you stay hopeful and optimistic of the future but the moment you stop questioning it, you’ve lost”

Interesting. Any idea where he picked up the idea or would’ve been prompted to ask for something like that? always fascinating where kids pick things up.

She picked it up at school. There is some lite-religious stuff going on. My favorite was when we asked her where she'd learn it, she said class, and then proceeds to say, "I'm showing you because you never knew you could do this".
