The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has expanded the list of claims against Binance. The regulator accuses the Binance cryptocurrency exchange and its American division BAM Trading of trading 12 digital assets classified as unregistered securities: Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Filecoin (FIL), Binance Coin (BNB), Binance USD (BUSD), Polygon (MATIC), Cosmos (ATOM), SandBox (SAND), Decentraland (MANA), Algorand (ALGO), Axie Infinity (AXS) and COTI (COTI). Such a move goes against one of the recent statements by the regulator. At the end of July, in an appeal to the judicial authorities, the SEC announced its intention to reduce the list of claims and abandon the classification of Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Polygon (MATIC) "and the like" as securities.
The situation is not very good. I hope everything will be fine in the end. Do you keep any of these assets in your portfolio? 4 replies
