The primary reason for $Moxie's sharp declines compared to other tokens in similar conditions is its extremely low liquidity in liquidity pools. The team could have mitigated this by providing incentives or even directly contributing to increase liquidity. Such extreme fluctuations put the project at risk of collapse and drive investors away.

Well, when liquidity is this low, people are afraid to provide it. The team needs to step in and help bring liquidity out of a critical state first, so others feel encouraged to add liquidity afterward.
