Name: Rambai (Baccaurea motleyana)

It takes the form of a tree 9–12 m high with a wide tree canopy. The leaves are shiny green on the upper surface (ventral) and slightly brownish and slightly variegated on the lower side. Leaves can measure up to 33 cm long and 15 cm wide. This plant is dioecious, so it is known as a male plant and a female plant. The flowers are fragrant and have yellow crowns. The stamens can reach a length of 15 cm and the pistil even 75 cm. The fruit measures 2 to 5 cm in diameter and, like the flowers, is arranged in compounds like a chain. The fruit has a slightly velvety skin with a yellow or light brown color, contains 3 to 5 seeds wrapped in fruit flesh. The flesh of this fruit can be eaten raw, boiled, or made into jam and wine.
