Su Shi (January 8, 1037 - August 24, 1101), also known as Zizhan and Hezhong, and also known as Tieguan Daoren and Dongpo Jushi, is known as Su Dongpo, Suxian, and Poxian. He was born in Meishan, Meizhou (now Meishan City, Sichuan Province). He was a writer, calligrapher, painter, and historical water conservancy celebrity in the Northern Song Dynasty. Together with his father Su Xun and his brother Su Zhe, they are collectively known as the "Three Sus". Su Shi was a leader in the literary world in the middle period of the Northern Song Dynasty, and achieved great success in poetry, lyrics, prose, calligraphy, and painting. His poems cover a wide range of themes, are fresh and vigorous, and are good at using exaggeration and metaphor, with a unique style. His main works include "Seven Collections of Dongpo", "Dongpo Yichuan", "Dongpo Yuefu", "Cold Food Post", "Xiaoxiang Bamboo and Stone Picture", "Dead Tree and Strange Stone Picture", etc. Memorial Day: Su Shi's Birthday
