Alice Munro (born July 10, 1931) is a Canadian female writer. In 1968, she published her first collection of short stories, Dance of the Happy Shades, and won the Governor General's Award for Literature. Later, she created 14 works and won many awards. Her works were translated into 13 languages and spread all over the world. On October 10, 2013, Alice Munro won the Nobel Prize in Literature.
