It is better to know a little bit of what is truly good and necessary than a lot of what is mediocre and unnecessary. (Leo Tolstoy) 3. Since there can be no question of an ideology being developed independently by the working masses themselves in the course of their movement, the only question is: bourgeois or socialist ideology. There is no middle ground here (because humanity has not developed any "third" ideology, and in general, in a society torn apart by class contradictions, there can never be an extra-class or supra-class ideology). Therefore, any belittling of the socialist ideology, any detachment from it, means thereby strengthening the ideology of the bourgeoisie.
