Plastic Village in Panama A village made of plastic bottles was built on the Panamanian island of Bocas del Toro. The author of the project was Canadian Robert Bezo, who, together with a team from Montreal, was engaged in waste disposal on the island. In a year and a half, they have accumulated more than 1 million plastic bottles. Bezo decided that this is an excellent material for the construction of various structures, including residential buildings. Barns, shelters in case of natural disasters and even a castle were also built from bottles. There is a museum with recreation areas and an educational center where tourists can learn everything about plastic construction.
