Onchain UX is becoming way too fragmented. Multiple wallets across multiple networks with multiple tokens is a nightmare to handle. Feels like the only logical outcome for new users is to have a unique account and smart wallet for every app. Connecting with a cross-platform EOA will be for power users.

Need to start moving toward network-specific address formats imo. Can't have the same address across all networks in all cases, so may as well embrace the opposite. The "eth:0xd8da..." format that Safe uses is good enough and is more Lindy than any alternative, so... maybe just use that more?

Problem is that many people don’t realize you have a unique address across different chains resulting in loss of funds. I.e. send your mainnet address on accident when hoping to receive on OP. I would expect most users to be comfortable associating one address per app they use (assuming they use it a lot)

I echo this. Also on the app layer we often intentionally give the same address to contracts and tokens (check Aave V3) Make integrations easier for third parties and end users life better and safer
