countless times I have regretted opening my mouth. very rarely have I regretted keeping my mouth shut. I have never regretted to instead lock in and learn or build something new. lesson in there (for me)

That's so true. Problem is if all smart/good people keep their mouths shut then we end up with toxic people dominating the discourse.
