appreciation

My dad often told me how much he loved going out with me when I was little.

He would never relate when seeing a crying or screaming kid in a store. Instead he would always encourage me to pick something for myself and rather than choosing something he would get a "I’ll take what papa takes".

Neither of us would pick anything and we simply continued our outing.

When I look around my rather empty apartment and the lack of "stuff" it makes me think of that story.

i stopped playing for a few years and my friend’s parents had this violin at their home and were like "this violin will be very happy to be played again, instead of collecting dust here" and then they just gave it to me 😔 i think it about that often
