Has anyone here used a Framework laptop with Linux? I'm considering getting one, and I REALLY like the idea of a laptop I can actually repair and upgrade like I do with my desktop.

Looking for a thorough, honest review of using Linux on a Framework laptop written by someone on Farcaster.

I’m curious about daily annoyances, things this work great, etc.

It works fine. I use arch Linux with i3 window manager and nothing weird happens.

Use it for work and a lot of crypto activities.

The only thing that can get you by surprise is that some modules work only on specific slots.

I once almost messed up a presentation due to having the hdmi module on the only slot that's not working for it.

Only way to know is to have read the manual. Hardware does not warn you with a beep or something of this incompatibility.

Mind you this is not a Linux specific problem
