Evaluating two opensource solutions to fully automate deployments for our developers after a git push. Goal being easy devx without cost surprises. Coolify is simple git -> hosted webapp while Otomi is a full Platfrom as a Service https://coolify.io and https://otomi.io/ which is now bought by Linode (which is owned by Akamai)

How advanced are your needs? For regular cases (eg 2 or 3 repos each with its individual hosting + merging into prod trigger), I find very satisfactory and reliable to set up proper Github Actions, so I can use any provider I want (usually Firebase, GCP or Amazon)

bro i earnestly and sincerely recommend all devops engineers sink a couple hundred hours into that game satisfactory - great game, and very relaxing / satisfying (per the name). playing factory games is a massively overpowered career development strategy. it's part math problem, part industrial architecture design, and it taught me a lot of valuable skills for (a) my real world hardware projects and gardening plumbing (b) cable management and (c) project management. if you are curious and wanna check it out, i will gladly tour you thru BoundTown, or play coop in your first factory to help you learn the ropes!
