Honestly this is some of the most cringe behavior on socials. There's no better way to show folks that one is clout farming rather than discussing in good faith.

i mean i have similar complaints about tipping culture, but you gotta ask, if the system incentivizes the pulling of certain levers, then i don't really blame users for pulling them

Makes sense to me. IMO a charitable interperetion of spicy quote casts would be critical of warpcast and how their vanity metric farming schemes affect the perceived quality and tone of posts on farcaster. On Twitter though, it's probably safe to assume it's just dunking for the sake of status or something
