Since arriving back in Massachusetts last week, Iā€™ve fallen down a Karen Read rabbit hole cuz thatā€™s all anyone is talking about. Currently listening to this pod with human lie detector Janine Driver. Fascinating. https://www.youtube.com/live/TCZvb6b5rW4?si=o5T-HJPFSMhm3usY

Been absorbing and think Iā€™ve got the facts pretty down and the evidence just doesnā€™t support the vehicular homicide theory. There was plenty of doubt on that (injuries donā€™t make sense, dog bite, phone data etc). I think it was a mistrial because a couple jurors just didnā€™t like her (understandableā€”lots not to like & I do believe she lied about how drunk she was). Clearly something happened in the house & there was a cover up. Likely a fight that led to accidental death. But the cover up is going to land a bunch of them in jail with Federal charges. Too many coincidences (and there are no coincidences). Also interesting to see who some of them hired as attorneys for grand jury representationā€”you hire them when you know youā€™re screwed. (I know some of the attorneys involvedā€”grew up in Easton and went to Suffolk law) Fed investigation going to be very interesting. And the whole craziness is highly entertaining. What are your thoughts?
