The Pitons: Soufriere, St. Lucia

These lush twin peaks rising straight from the Caribbean Sea are one of the most famous sights in St. Lucia. Part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Pitons Management Area, the Pitons boast diverse geological features such as fumaroles and hot springs.

Vestrahorn: Stokksnes peninsula, Iceland
Nearly 1,500 feet tall, Vestrahorn towers above a lagoon and black sand beach in southeast Iceland. This mountain sits adjacent to Brunnhorn, which locals refer as the "Batman Mountain" because of the shape formed by its three peaks.
