where are they at now w zk? are the scans still kept?

Not anymore. Scans are on Orb only, then hashed, hash is stored using secure multiple party compute. Currently between TFH & World Foundation but have a few universities coming online that are MCP partners. Scan is stored locally on your own device so that it can be re-verified in the future.

In terms of ZK, when you verify with World ID you are just doing a ZKP that you have a World ID in the set. So no app / developer / Worldcoin / etc. actually knows what your World ID is.
