Ha! Not only the thrift stores! Most denim making machines from the Carolinas were bought by Japanese manufacturing plants back in the days when manufacturing in USA became too expensive, now there are barely any machines in USA, they are most in Japan!

Nothing I wasn’t expecting yet. Just confirming that a lot of US thrift was raided and taken back to Japan LOL but it’s curated really well like NYC
