1. when you allow the Power Badge to do your thinking for you, your laziness allows current+future frens to become collateral damage

2. if Warpcast had a history of product decisions that broke down the Cool Kids' Club and elevated new voices, we would be more willing to accept opaque spam fighting techniques

3. my list of such efforts looks basically like: "we will soon launch features to help new accounts get discovered, after we do other things" (streaks, for example). To be fair, there have been some helpful casts, and the "gm" and "welcome" channels. But no features.

4. meanwhile, people who criticize loudly fall off the power badge list. Maybe the team admits that the falling off was done outside of the algorithm; maybe they never admit it. It certainly looks bad in the data.

5. I have said this before. Most healthy human beings will just leave this Gd-forsaken place. The ones who stay are self-selected for stubbornness and/or willingness to turn a blind eye in return for some future benefit
