Genetics isn’t simple. I wanted to be a geneticist once but when I learned genetics I gave up 🤣

Genes have penetrance and expressivity, which can explain why A+ and A- blood types can’t have an AB+ kid, but also why two dark-eyed people can have a baby with light-colored eyes.

For example, I sequenced lots of SNPs of mine and I carry some blue-eye genes. My eyes are almost black. 

It is unlikely but possible that my kids have hazel/green eyes.
