Today I spent 3+ hours finishing an early payment on my loan. Officially fully paid. 

However, working with a traditional retail bank means I had to (1) physically fly over to the city where I applied for the loan. I no longer work here so I had to take a day off (2) discuss with my account manager to book appointment way ahead (3) obtain written approval from senior manager at bank to pre-paid my loan (4) wait 2 hours in line for payment handling (5) hundreds of dollars to penalty fee for prepayment…

This is 2024. I thought we were way past this stage in modern banking. 

Also, traditional banking simply makes everything unnecessarily difficult - it builds action resistance and inertia for customers to [really do what’s best for themselves]. This resistance and their massive, inefficient bureaucracy simply feed on each other. 

De-fi must have a way to solve this.
