good catch! i didn't know this:

if you buy a moxie fan token and sell into profit, the profit difference is yours to keep, no vesting required. The vested amount goes back to jail to finish its 180 day lockup.

Concrete example. 

I own 11.905 Wake tokens. I paid a total of 5,000 and they are now worth 7,247. 

So this means I ended up paying 419.99 per token and they are now worth 623.85.

Let's say I want to HODL 10 Wakes, but sell 1. The profit on one token is 203.86.

I am assuming the 5% fee (2.5% to Wake and 2.5% burned comes off the total), so if I sold one, I would get 592.66 Moxie.

That means that after I sold, the original 419.99 MOXIE would go back into my unvested pool, and I would get 172.67 Moxie that I could pull directly to my wallet.

Do I understand it correctly?

IMPORTANT CAVEAT

if you put all 180 unvested moxie into Fan Tokens, and they are vesting 1/180th per day

lets say 10 of those moxie are used for a FT that you get 20 back on when you sell

you now have 20 in your unvested contract, and 160 in fan tokens

tomorrow you unvest 1 of 180. And you can withdraw 1. Why? because you can't withdraw all 20 because the 160 you have in fan tokens could lose value.

if rather you had put 100 of those moxie into fan tokens that are now they are worth 200 when you sold them, so now you have 200 in your unvested contract and 80 in Fan Tokens. You now have 200-180 = 20 that you can withdraw fee and clear.

Make sense? 

Short story: if you have more in your Unvested Contract than the total amount required to vest, then you can withdraw that surplus

I am plugging in info from "My assets", figuring out the exact cost per token I paid, subtracting 5% Moxie from the gross, price, then subtracting the cost I paid from that number to come up with the vested moxie per token, should I choose to sell, multiplying that my the current value of moxie to determine the hypothetical USD profit that I could realize right now per token.

So follow up Q. By my current understanding and my handy dandy spreadsheet, if I were to sell all of my fan tokens right now and cashed all the moxie right now, I could pull $240.86 in cash out.

So... what is my incentive to HODL? That whole moxie buy back 20% thing.... does that just increase the value of the token over time. 

In theory, if Wake hustles his keyboard and gets a lot of moxie today, will his FanToken be worth more tomorrow?

Well I don't want to cash it all out. 

But lets say 25% of each. Would I actually get to keep any of that free floating moxie or would it all go back to fix my unvested "debt" of the 66K that I spent from my unvested pool on tokens?

That’s quite a math that I’m under qualified for. I suggest you execute the trade and find the answer. If you don’t like the answer, dump it all back again 🤷🏻‍♂️😅
