Fog works wonders to block out the city light pollution to allow for the stars above to shine that much brighter. 

This photo was taken from within Los Angeles county so being able to capture the Milky Way from here was a treat.

I'm 30 miles North of Boston and can't even see 5 stars.

Yea getting up in elevation helps as well as I am here in Malibu facing the Pacific Ocean

I haven't seen stars in years. I used to go up to Vermont and camping in NH often, but haven't done either since 2019.

I miss stars.

Ah, I need to go about 3 hours out.

I live in that annoying strip of light from boston to dc that you can see from space.

Same where I live but a short drive out and the sky gets a lot darker
