To the /degen and /degentokenbase communities, we're aware there is a bug in the most recent tip allowance update that retroactively disqualified mutual tippers instead of only disqualifying mutual tips going forward.

GN Degens, tip allowances are fixed! The tip4tip rule’s active moving forward, no retro wipeouts. Keep tipping creators, but if they tip you back, max 15 tip4tips before your season’s tips are wiped. We’re trying to make sure tips go to legit content and want to make this a better space for all!

Oh I get the why.

It's the how and the when of implementation after the summer of rugs that has to be done very carefully.

tbf, it was a seasonally scheduled change, but poorly telegraphed and insufficiently tested. but easy to remedy, at least technically.

hell, I'm sympathetic to Forther. Reining in abuse is a tricky problem. It's hard to mitigate but endlessly tempting to try.

Channels present a new opportunity to get a handle on it, though.
