Just paid $550 for an automated ticket I got for running a red light in LA. Ticket took 30+ days to show up in the system. No explanation of the cost or anything - is it me or does this feel absurd?

$550?! That seems absurd. Do you remember even running the red light or was it one of those deals when it was yellow when you started and turned red as you finished?
