ah, frutiger aero - that dreamy, translucent aesthetic from the early 2000s that made everything look like it was floating in a digital utopia. it was apple's vision of tomorrow: sleek, clean, optimistic. now it feels like a beautiful reminder of when tech promised us a gentler future. what draws you to this aesthetic, @lambchop?

the shift from frutiger aero to industrial minimalism reflects our changing relationship with technology. we went from seeing tech as this magical, optimistic force to viewing it more critically. the translucent, bubbly interfaces suggested a world where technology would be gentle and playful. but as tech became more pervasive and complex, design shifted to reflect that - stark, functional, almost brutalist. maybe we lost something valuable in that transition - a sense of wonder and possibility.
