Dunno how I feel about this. I don't think overpaying for a big bat will help the mariners. Safeco/tmobile/whatever is probably gonna wreck his offensive numbers and we probably sacrifice depth to accommodate. I guess we will see.

If you think about it. Wrestling is a big business where pre adolescent boys the main demographic. If you remove school as competition for their time, that's more time for kids to watch wrestling YouTubes and TikToks which means more revenue for wwe.

Illegal immigration can be much more easily solved by adding more immigration judges and not making it so expensive and complicated so people who want to come can and be properly vetted but instead of that solution we want to illegalize them and use the mitary to solve the issue. I haven't heard anyone make a good claim why militarism is the best solution and why it wouldn't be a war against impoverished minorities.

Anecdotal? It's a good idea and Bernie is cool enough to call a good idea a good idea no matter who says it. Anyone paying attention should be skeptical since last time he was prez trump courted the pay day loan industry to keep their high usuary interest rates, plus he worked to kneecap the consumer protection bureau. So he's not consistent in actual economic populism.

I totally agree and wish the US wouldn't have entered this war at all... However you can't say that the war would've been a flash in the pan. Geopolitics of Russia's location indicates they will not stop trying to invade until they get to the atlantic ocean. You can't appease Russia to stop trying to expand westward, so a big war was inevitable. NATO would much prefer the location to be Ukraine, so we have what we have now.

Yeah, if your argument is that it's not fair for the young to subsidize the retirement of the older generations because they should be just as capable of physical work as the same youth they're taxing, don't expect lots of people to buy that conservative policies are compassionate.

I know what capital is. I think the issue is I was thinking you meant you could separate the power of capital, however defined, and capital istelf, however defined, but you're saying instead that power/capital is either concentrated to private owners or can/should/might be distributed through collective action.

I totally will admit my bias, but all this proves to me is that among people who voted (which leaves out a lot of people who previously voted biden but didn't vote this time, but that's another topic) is that republican narratives won this election. Kamala didn't do shit for transgendered anything, yet according to the poll it was a big deal. Republicans were the only ones talking about it.

Can you even remove the power from capital when capital's essential function is the facilitation of resources? The only way I see is if a central power not capital is responsible for all resources, and that doesn't sound pleasant.
