There’s a lot of talk right now about Moxie prices and sentiment. There is a misconception that the project is facing heavy sell pressure but when you actually look at the numbers, that’s not the case.

Order volume has been low, and while there have been more sells than buys, the difference is pretty minimal—like 8-12K/day. It’s not a huge wall of red, instead just a small gap.

In other words, I don’t think there is as much to worry about here as it looks like. Yes, price is currently in the shitter, but I don’t think it always will be. The /airstack team is working on features that should increase demand on the buy side. On top of this, Moxie is being heavily integrated into the rest of the Farcaster ecosystem. It’s only  matter of time. How much time is the question. What’s your time horizon?

This means approximately 8.77B MOXIE tokens are currently unreleased. The project has a vesting schedule, with Airdrop 1 being distributed over 180 days to 53,206 Farcaster members.

assuming grants & partnership moxie aren’t sold by those that get it. Even half a billion left to go in rewards, with no buy pressure, is pretty brutal.. 

If buy/sells do stabilize, It may take a while long while. The opportunity cost of staying locked into moxie is big when other crypto has been bullish

Big portion of that is scheduled for things like moxie retro grants, ecosystem partners, etc. only 1.5B is for free rewards.
