Today marks 1 year for @base — but it's still day one!

Reflecting on BasecampXFest, it's clear that @base is headed in the right direction.
🧵Here's why I think they'll usher in the next wave of on-chain users

As a former consumer product guy, I was genuinely thrilled by the innovative apps popping up on @base. Here were a few that I met IRL:
- @farcards : Think Pokémon cards, but for your on-chain friends.
- @moshicam : Preserve your memories on-chain and earn rewards for them.

FARWORLD

- @stvol: Simplifying options trading so anyone can speculate on price directions. Start w/ $1-$100 to potentially win up to $100.
- /farworld: Rolling out a suite of tools for devs to craft crypto-native games with onchain social integrations.

- @mintclub: Offering no-code tools for builders and creators to launch tokens with automated liquidity.
- @iskra:  Building the next gen of games starting with a crazy brick breaker

and there were so many other I didn't get to mention!

What's brilliant is that the @base  ecosystem is able to tap into @coinbase’s trusted branding, massive user base, investment in better UX and dev tools, making the GTM for new apps to onboard more users on-chain magnitudes easier 🧠

Most importantly, @jessepollak and the @base team lives and breathes what it means to stay Based, driving these values home. Just like the tech pioneers with strong values who got us to today's internet, I'm excited to see leaders anchor us in building the internet of tomorrow.

basecamp

Adding the cherry on top of /basecamp, @fwb FEST was a real treat. The programming seamlessly transitioned from Base builder focused to a more diverse celebration of music, ideas and creation.

Idyllwild was magical,  and vibes were immaculate✨
