Aimee Knebel was born in Dessau, Germany in 1940 and is a German artist who lives and works in Dusseldorf, Germany. Knebel is best known as a painter. However, he incorporates drawing, sculpture, installation and photography into his artistic practice.He discovered painting in the 60s with a precise and basic approach of thick or thin vertical lines placed at variable distances from each other. During the 1970s, the German artist continued to experiment with his minimalist approach, experimenting with color, and extensive painting.
