Crypto is good for two things: 1. Coordination 2. Speculation The most resilient tokens are supported by strong communities (aka coordination), not technology. The problem is that speculation and coordination are at odds with each other. To win with speculation, you betray coordination. Finding the middle ground is key to longterm sustainability.

I am pretty clueless at marketing, but definitely what you say is true. I kinda feel web3 is really different from web2 in that way. web2 is mostly tech but web3 is like 50 50 tech / social. It's a struggle growing community though, it's definitly my weak point as an developer founder.

I'm excited to annouce www.thumpr.xyz a decentralized freelancng and services platform on @Base that you can use to earn crypto. I've been building this for a few months now and would love to get feedback and people on board that want to list their trades or collaborate. Smart contracts manage the orderflow and payment, funds are managed securely with escrow, services can be priced as standalone gigs or hourly and even supports local services in your area. While it's a beta release, it is also very much functional, MVP if you will. Why did I create this ? I really want to grow the on chain economy, move away from the tradfi system completely, why on/offramp to other platforms when we can build it all right here on crypto rails. It's a pretty ambitious project as a solo dev and I could use help, list new services, community, get on podcasts, anything, discord is also live ! let's build the onchain economy.

I have launched thumpr.xyz , a decentralized marketplace for freelancers and local services. We are in beta but fully functional. A smart contract order management ensures fair delivery and payment and even includes an automated dispute function. The idea is to foster an online economy outside of banking, bringing more people onchain and doing more business in crypto on Base. We would love more people to sign up and list their services while we get ready to promote the site in the new Year. There is also a discord, so please join and help build the community. Closing the channels will kill this product. Its OK if you are an existing user with many connections. For new users the experience is nothing short of horrific. Read only. It's basically a newspaper.
