And move this API to a $19/mo Hetzner box with a bunch of other services. (8gb RAM, 4vCPU) TL;DR: Keep your infra lean. You can get very far with a small, cheap infra just by optimizing your DB, indexing, application memory usage.

. @cryptojobslist api is still on a $7/mo Heroku instance after 6 years It's just a Node.js app, doing most of the data work. Creating job ads, managing job applications, payments, webhooks and other write ops and integrations. And I should probably just keep it that way. But planning to get this bill to $0 1/3

sure, there are people who haven’t done anything relevant and they’ll be ignored for that reason but there are also plenty of experienced folks with good xp, they just don’t know how to present it well for a recruiters to shortlist them especially loads of introverted ppl do that doesn’t hurt to optimize
