Does anyone know why USDC and the OpenZeppelin implementation of the ERC20 token standard check for transfer originating from the zero address? https://github.com/OpenZeppelin/openzeppelin-contracts/blob/105fa4e1b0832a6a40cb7ba6e545bb844f02a711/contracts/token/ERC20/ERC20.sol#L173 Seems to be an impossible case.

Yeah I wanted to know this, there seems to be something special about the null address that I don't know about on Ethereum, I know on other L2 null address is seen to be the send address for bridged assets from L1, could be they want to contract to work on L2 too 🤷♂️
