I read Tolstoy's "Childhood, Boyhood, Youth." A magnificent work that answers many questions about my own life at different stages. For example, about childhood cruelty as an attempt to impress the "cool" kids. A very insightful writer. But what stuck with me the most were these words: "One of the main aspirations on the path to happiness, embedded in the human soul, is the desire for self-forgetfulness, intoxication. If it is not the intoxication of pleasure or love or labor, then it is the intoxication of proud intellectual activity."
