I've built a thing ā a dashboard which shows the amount of climate change expected at airports in the 21st century according to the latest generation of climate models. It allows you to pick any of the world's ~900 largest airports, choose one of four climate scenarios from most to least optimistic, and see how much change is predicted to happen in the air temperature, pressure, and humidity at that location up to the year 2100. This work is a derivative of my doctoral research. Link to the dashboard: https://aviationdoctor.shinyapps.io/futureairport/ Link to the GitHub repo (which also explains the methodology): https://github.com/TheAviationDoctor/FutureAirport/ Link to the full research for those interested: https://commons.erau.edu/edt/720/

Thanks sharing @aviationdoctor.eth š Why is Central Asia forecast to change so dramatically compared with similar latitudes?

Couple of factors come to mind. The vast distance from the coast means a continental climate with no moderation effect from the oceans (which otherwise act as heat sinks). Also, the climate zone there is arid (steppes, deserts) which means less moisture on the ground, and thus less evaporative cooling. The surface retains all the heat. Potentially also some more localized changes to circulation patterns like polar amplification, Iām not sure
