Hey @wanderloots.eth How to backup obsidian? Found few plugins but is there any better way? Yesterday lost hard drive and with it whatever was on obsidian. Thankfully there wasn’t much. But on new drive want to make sure everything is backed up . Btw learning a lot from your videos. ❤️

Hey! Great question 😊 and so glad you’ve been finding them helpful! And sorry to hear you lost your files :/ There are a few ways I’ve done it: 1) literally just copy the folder at a given time and generate a manual copy outside of iCloud (which I use for syncing) 2) my digital garden portion publishes to GitHub, which then creates a versioned copy 3) one I haven’t tried yet but want to, is to use the git plugin to created a private versioned copy of my vault, that’s my next step to implement Obsidian sync works too, but is paid. And if you’re considering publish, I’d check out the digital garden tutorial, because you can do effectively the same thing for free. Hope that helps!

I used Obsidian Sync for a while, and now just store my vault in my iCloud folder so it’s backed up in real time to the cloud. It works really well across multiple devices (MacBook / iPad / iPhone).
