Chairman of the Federal Reserve System (FRS) Jerome Powell said that the Fed has no right to own bitcoin. He explained that the Federal Reserve Act determines what assets the U.S. central bank can own, and bitcoin is not included in this list. Powell also noted that the Fed does not seek to change this law, leaving the decision on this issue to the discretion of Congress.
