A funny story about ‘Feel Your Ghost’ - the Tiësto & Mathame song with my vocals/lyrics 👇🏼 

I actually did these vocals as part of a sample pack that I was hired to do by a company who licenses packs on Splice (a huge sample library that producers use to make most of the music you hear). 

One day I got a message from someone saying they heard my song with Tiësto- to which I replied, ‘I don’t have a song out with Tiësto’ 🤔 and then they sent me the link. 

Sure enough the entire song featured my vocals! 

25 million streams later and it’s Mathame’s biggest song! 

Before you ask- no I do not get any royalties 😂

Web2 music royalties are wild. You can voice a global hit and still only get paid like it’s a freelance gig from 2020. Artists deserve better ownership, especially when they are the hook
