In my 10 years in the industry, I can distinctly remember 6 times after seeing and learning about something more deeply I became most excited: 2014: Bitcoin 2015: Ethereum 2017: ERC-20 and ERC-721 2019: Uniswap/AMMs 2021: Investing DAOs 2024: L3s Something big is coming.

Ah yes web3 social! I was very excited about that circa 2020, just no examples until Farcaster this year that got me excited (though it’s not really what I imagine/imagined in terms of decentralized social)
