A new UN Report shows that maternal deaths were reduced by 40 per cent and newborn deaths by just over 30 per cent, since 2000. We must ensure this progress is not reversed amid the funding crisis. Governments must strengthen health systems to support maternal and newborn care.

Real progress. Let’s not forget—health systems also need to feel safe, usable, and human, especially for mothers.
