Come to realize that the further you go in life the harder it gets. There is no point at which it gets easier - so you have to truly love what you do. Very tough pill to swallow. With every new step forward there's 100x more to learn.

I don't know. I think I've had it harder than I have it now. Mentally, I experience more ease than I have in the past, and I'm now involved in what most would see as more stressful circumstances financially, professionally, and socially. I definitely agree on the more-to-learn with every step forward, though.
