Weather station pairs with a base station that in my install is connected to the internet gia WiFi. That sends the data to the network where the weather data is sold. Station data providers get $WXM daily rewards based on quality of their data contributions.

How does this work? Been seeing it around

Go for it! First impressions:
- wow that’s a lot of parts I need to assemble
- oh that’s not bad at all
- oh shit I need a pole
- hmm placement may not be as easy as I had thought due to trees & distance from base station
- roof mount? Nah, I’ll hurt myself
- oh look that spot by the fence communicates fine & isn’t obstructed 
- where are the reward?
