More people are adopting Swift for cross-platform development and Iā€™m really excited about it. Swift 6 looks absolutely amazing for its improvements on concurrency, non-copyable types, idempotent functions & flexibility + interop with C++ I really want to try it when it comes out, thereā€™s really some potential here for an amazing & productive ecosystem. Only difficult thing is the number of keyword & all the little different way you can do things to optimize your code. Be sure to read the documentation to understand what youā€™re doing. https://x.com/awesomekling/status/1822236888188498031 https://www.hackingwithswift.com/articles/269/whats-new-in-swift-6

Thatā€™s the timing on this? Should I learn/use this instead of react native?

If you are making this decision atm just thought I would point out that there is a bunch of work going on right now in the React Native community to make swift more of a first class citizen so when you get to a point where you want to also write some native code for iOS it could be much easier in the future

No you shouldnā€™t because app development with Swift is scoped to IOS! Weā€™ll see in the future if the ecosystem develops well enoughā€¦
