Is using minikit a prerequisite for app use in cb wallet?

It’s incredible unsatisfying to take the time to wrap an existing app & get no new functionality from it & not have access to the app it’s going to be rendered in to see how it looks & works there.

How can we devs get access to cb wallet to test our apps?

We do all the works, not sure it adds anything incremental to the app (might be subtractive!)- is it ‘just’ optionality on distribution we get at this point? Can we wait & still have app used in cbw‽ 

Early dev feeling in the dark here & I pay a moderate amount of attention to the stuff. Oh wait, is a cabal in an invite only thing & Im the one not in the group chat?? 🤭😜✌️💜🔵

There’s so much opportunity here all the devs 🙏🙏 we are investing time now. Ephemeral feeds suck for these types of comms. Where should we be watching for announcements & timing targeted at devs. Happy to help spread the word but what’s the word.

Been through it. Created an app with minikit &… will wait. Not any visible reasons to update right now. I am under informed & will try to attend the session. 🙏

This (see image) should be solved before launch imo. Devs should have some access to test IF you are doing an actual launch or is it just an announce?!

The best thing cbw can do for the ecosystem is tell devs all they need to do is check manifest images & they are Gucci on cbw at launch 🙏💜🔵

It’s not unease as much & my distain for unnecessary uncertainty. 

My way under informed perspective- it feels too soon & not ready. Totally appreciate it not ever being truly ready but until this some of the issue below are tackled devs probably should not be asked to do anything but confirm manifest metadata. I just triggered my own PTSD ‘manifest’ fml 😜.

At least two things below are must haves & should be clearly communicate to devs: 

1- wo Auth addresses don’t touch smart wallets or there will be frustration from devs & possibly users

2- what up with support for notifications? These should move to user control not ‘mini’ app dev control. Apps are going to bombard users otherwise <- my hunch is the user will only use a miniapp on one host/client otherwise. Off to the races!

3- related to #1 support for writing to hub/nodes messages including update profile, reactions & links 

4- no dependencies in Warpcast whatsoever eg deeplink launch miniapp requires wc iirc

We are going to follow the specs for mini-apps! But also if you use minikit and the link that @dylsteck.eth shared you will be good! 

I understand that there’s a lot of uneasiness right now but promise more info will come soon!
