My wife said I should pick up a hobby instead of sitting around doing nothing, so I picked up meditation

Nice. Do you two have any common hobbies? Jmac & I have a few hobbies we do together & enjoy. Bee keeping & now @weatherxm geeks. Both low effort more learning than doing. Pretty awesome to have a partner that’s at the same level of knowledge going into a hobby. all the best with 🧎

BTW, I was thinking about the combo. Beekeeping + WeatherXM. How do we bring them together?

I don’t. At one point I was going to install a flight counter at the hive entrances but that idea petered out. @bluclaat might have some ideas

I'm sure that temperature, days since last rainfall, wind play their part in beekeeping. Maybe not domestic, if you have the hives close and you can check them regularly, but I'd like to know if there is a need for specialized weather info/services that pros may want.

One thing that comes to mind is how many days rainfall; bees come out on clearing flights to have a poo on the wing, but not when its raining (even in the 'off season'). They can hold it for weeks but the longer they hold it the more prone they are to infection. Also means in a wet summer they cant get out enough to collect pollen, can end up with low stores in the winter.

Yes 🙌 & how does that impact the keepers actions?

Tracking the health of a colony/s and knowing what they are more likely to need help with or not in the coming months. Maybe you can tell its been a bad year rain and temp wise you give them extra for the winter or for spring maybe its warm early. Also i think this is something that could go along with research at a university level. So that they can monitor climate change, and monitor the weather for a given rare bee population or hives they might be otherwise monitoring. They can do it from a desk, with a webcam all on the same pole.
